And So The Breaking Begins: Mindbreaker Duet, Book 1 (An Age of War and Prophecy 3)

Dominic Draven rules the supernatural world from the shadows of his gothic nightclub, Afterlife, with an iron fist and a frozen heart. As the king of all immortal life, he is accustomed to absolute control, but his carefully constructed world tilts on its axis the moment a mortal named Keira walks through his doors. She is not merely a new waitress; she is his destined mate, a woman meant to shatter his arrogance and pierce the armor of a man who has forgotten how to be human.
This immersive urban fantasy offers a fresh, gripping perspective on a beloved saga. By shifting the narrative from Keira to the dark, brooding mind of Draven himself, readers are invited into the psyche of the ultimate paranormal book boyfriend. It is a high-stakes dance of power and vulnerability, where an overbearing king must grapple with the terrifying, beautiful reality of falling in love for the very first time.
If you crave intense, angsty romance filled with celestial intrigue and simmering tension, this is your next obsession. While the prose is as lush and expansive as the king’s own ego, the emotional payoff is undeniable. Prepare to be consumed by the king’s POV in a dark, addictive tale of fated passion.

I loved this book as much as I have enjoyed all of the other books I've read by this author. I can't wait to read the next book. )

Dominic Draven… he’s the boyfriend we all want and the beast we all need. I love his POV. He’s all grumpy, angsty in love with this human girl. Ms Hudson can be a bit verbose, however, it’s worth it. I’m so glad I stumbled in Draven’s POV books. You’ll enjoy the Afterlife Saga. Just remember the series is not a sprint. It’s a marathon. )

Story line is great. Carries on a bit. Trying to be mysterious and just seems to be the same scenarios over and over. Same thoughts different words. The back and forth of the siblings are repetitive. Grammar is a huge issue for me. Context of words also. Example. . Rouse should be ruse..... )

Seeing things solely from Draven's viewpoint is rewarding. Seeing his turmoil and his struggle makes you understand how unprepared he was for Kiera )

Can't get enough of your favorite 1/2 angel, 1/2 demon? Well, here you go!! This one is from Draven's point of view for Book 1. Warning: This does get a little wordy but try to remember you're reading this from the POV of a being that is 1,000's of years old. My only gripe with this book is where it ended. I thought this would go all the way to the end of book 1, but it doesn't. You've been warned. The second 1/2 of book 1 has yet to be released as of this writing... ) 3 people found this...
