This is the story of what happens when Gabi goes looking for what really happened to her father and caused is disappearance. She finds out not everyone is who or what they seems. Everything kind of gets shaken around and she must figure out what is going on and who is really on her side. A bit of a dark romance, mixed with intrigue, drama, lots of steam, and danger galore. I liked the writing and story and thought it leaves a lot to come in the next books. Easy to get sucked into the story....

This is book one in the Slate City Gods series. It’s a fallen Gods, mythology, forbidden love, romance. Amazing world building that is detailed and imaginable. Fascinating characters that are well developed and diverse. Twists and unexpected turns keep you reading. This is a fast-paced intriguing read! Fractured Dawn by Aspen McKenna is the story of Gabi and Aden. She’s working as a journalist so that she can more easily track down what happened to her father. Aden is her mother’s latest fling and is currently living with them. Both have hidden agendas and secrets they keep from each other. There’s also the undeniable attraction they are fighting. This was a good story. He’s more than he lets on…and she’s hiding her true motivations. Both are a little underhanded in that respect. )

She is soon mesmerized by her mother’s boy toy, Aden. This is a quick, witty, page turning story that is hard to put down. I can’t wait to see how the others stories are played out in this series. )
