by Kaye Draper
Henrick is an angel bound by the rigid hierarchies of his society, but his life unravels the moment he assists his sister’s forbidden elopement with a human slave. What begins as a simple act of rebellion quickly spirals into a dangerous game of survival. Swept into a world of air pirates, slavers, and political sabotage, Henrick finds himself caught in the crosshairs of a vengeful Shifter determined to ignite a world-ending war.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends the high-stakes tension of an academy-style setting with the heart-pounding intensity of fated mates. As Henrick battles to protect those closest to him, he discovers a taboo love that defies the laws of his people. The journey takes him from the desolate desert wastes to the perilous heights of the Floating City, testing the limits of his courage and his heart.
If you crave an epic adventure filled with forbidden love and celestial intrigue, this story delivers a sweeping journey of sacrifice and passion. While the narrative is a complex, sprawling ride, it captures the essence of a classic Kaye Draper romance. Dive into a world where angels fall, loyalties are tested, and one man must fight to save his soulmate from the shadows of a crumbling empire.

Over all the story line was good but it was messy. The writing wasn’t consistent and a lot of the choices didn’t make sense. Just needed some more consistency and logic. )

The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it got a little bit slow for a couple of chapters. Otherwise a Classic Kaye Draper boom. )

I enjoy getting to know Kaye's colorful characters. It was nice getting to know some new ones! My only complaint would be that I loved some characters from the first book, and missed hearing more about them in this one. Still, very well done! Loved it. )

This story was an amazing read. I couldn't put the book down. It was alittle slow in the begining, but it did pick up and pulled me right into it. It was interesting to see how the male on malr attraction was going to come to light and thats what pulled me into the story. I was sad when it ended, but just like Kaye's other books it was fun. )
