And So The Breaking Begins: Mindbreaker Duet, Book 1 (An Age of War and Prophecy 3)

by Adaline Winters
Natia Waterford never wanted to be a vessel for hope, yet she now carries the weight of a world teetering on the edge of oblivion. After the devastating betrayal of her protector, Archan, she finds herself on the run, hunted by the very primordial evil that has possessed him. Every step she takes is a gamble, and as the lines between divinity and damnation blur, Natia must confront the terrifying reality that the man she loves—or the monster wearing his face—is both her greatest threat and her only salvation.
This gripping second installment of the Hope Legacy series masterfully blends angel mythology with high-stakes Greek legend. It is a quintessential slow-burn paranormal romance, where the forbidden-love trope crackles with unresolved sexual tension and dangerous consequences. Surrounded by a found-family of misfit allies, including a fire-wielding best friend and a meddling goddess, Natia must sharpen her own burgeoning powers to survive a war of gods.
Prepare for a narrative where banter cuts as deep as blades and the stakes are nothing less than the soul of humanity. With heart-wrenching betrayals and a cliffhanger that will leave you breathless, this is the ultimate read for those who crave supernatural intensity and epic, world-ending stakes.

What did I just read!? This book was AMAZING! The story was incredible and really the subtle messages behind everything make you want to turn the page again and also be something worth while in the world. This book takes off right after book 1. I thought I was going to have to wait to read the energy between Natia and Archan again, but I’m sooo glad the author did what she did and allowed Archan to “come out” when the beast was resting. This books heats level was off the charts compared to book...

WARNING! CLIFFHANGER! :sniff: there’s kind of an epic 5/5 on the trauma scale cliffhanger here. Even if you read the reviews or the blurb for book three and got spoilers, you’ll want a handkerchief and the next book lines up immediately! Picking up from book one’s cliffhanger, we begin Natia’s epic journey to find a way to save Archon; without destroying the world in the meantime! There are quite a few revelations, and a number of head spinning events to traumatize you, but ultimately it made...

I struggle with the Greek mythology being mixed with Bible stories. Nothing I can say against it.... it just sat in my gut like a lead biscuit. The story is beautifully mastered otherwise.... and the ending Ooooooo! Shreds the heart and makes you feel like you’re settling on needles waiting for book 3. )

This might be the hardest review I’ve written so far. I’m trying to think of what to write after just being slayed by Adaline. This woman just took my heart and shredded it, in the best possible way of course. What she did with this book was, she gave you all the amazingness with every single character, made you fall in love with them all, then left you sobbing like a child at the end. You think you know where it’s going and what’s going to happen and then nope, you were wrong. It literally had...

This book is the continuation of Seducing Hope. We follow along as Natia continues on her quest to basically, save all of man kind. Natia and her team are working tirelessly to develop a plan that allows for the salvation of mankind as well as maintaining the safety of Archan and the others. The love between Natia and Archan is beyond what they could have ever dreamed of. The true definition of soulmates. At the same time, the love Natia has for her family and friends is fierce. Will she be...
