The Fallen Queen (Gods & Monsters)

by Janie Marie

About this book

The path to redemption is paved with ruin, and for Jane, the descent is only just beginning. As the most feared monster in existence, she has spent a lifetime defying the heavens, yet her true destiny remains shrouded in shadow. In this gut-wrenching installment of the Gods and Monsters series, the line between divine retribution and pure cruelty blurs, forcing her to confront a treacherous truth: to finally extinguish the darkness consuming her world, she may have to embrace her own ultimate fall.

This high-stakes paranormal romance pushes the boundaries of the genre, weaving a harrowing tale of war, forbidden passion, and relentless angst. It is a story not for the faint of heart, as it delves deep into the darkest corners of human and celestial suffering. Readers should be prepared for an emotionally draining experience that tests the limits of resilience and challenges the very definition of a hero.

If you crave a dark, unapologetic narrative that leaves you breathless and emotionally shattered, this is your next obsession. Prepare to be haunted by Jane’s journey, where every victory is paid for in blood and the only thing more dangerous than the gods is the woman destined to defy them.

All Time Favorite

This book/ trilogy is on my short list of ALL TIME FAVORITES!!! I'll start with the same thing I said about book one because it still holds true. This trilogy has it all: Romance, angst, horror, war, supernatural beings, myths, legends (oh man the myths and legends-- you think you know them, but the author presents them in a whole new light). It will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. It's a gripping page-turner with complex characters and an emotional storyline that will tear you...

Painful

*possible spoilers* Oh man where to begin. I guess for starters if anyone reading this review had triggers or trouble reading about sexual assault or abuse don’t read this book or trilogy. Also my review will make no sense if you have not read the first book so go read that one first. I have a love/hate with these books. They are so good but has so much rough stuff it has made me hate them. Poor Jane. Oh my god I cried a lot. She has so many battles to fight. Always to keep control of herself...

Overwhelming

July 2, 2022

*please read TW. This book is so overwhelming emotional with sensitive subject matter that will leave you emotionally drained. The atrocities that Jane faces will leave you crumbling. You will be angry, you will want to stop, you will question why you are still reading this. The ugly will far outweigh the good. But you have hope that out of the suffering will come the light. ) One person found this helpful

A Must Read Book

September 19, 2017

The second installment of the Gods & Monsters trilogy is everything I hoped for and much more. soo much action, adventure, romance, heartbreak and lots of tears. We see Jane experience all the emotions in the human heart and the author write them soo magnificent that you feel them too. Jane is not your average heroine amd The Fallen Queen is not your typical vampire book. For me was a no sleep the day I started reading because Is one of those books you cannot put down even at 5am in the...

so so so dark and at times a little tedious

March 16, 2022

TW FOR THIS BOOK: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, RAPE, possession, Christian religion (for anyone with religious trauma, it had me lost in my head for a bit), violence against children, torture, maiming, etc. It’s dark homies. So first, the things I disliked: - grammatical errors and misuse of words and words where they didn’t belong or not where they were needed - It is a little tedious. Like it’s such a long book and so much of it is internal battle or hopeless fights - they repeatedly call Jane strong...
