Death is rarely the end, but for Claira, it is only the beginning of a nightmare. After dying an untimely death, she awakens in Duat, a realm where souls are stripped of their memories to prevent the spread of Lucifer’s demonic infection. Yet, Claira retains her past, marking her as a target for the merciless Elders Court. To survive, she must navigate a dangerous game of shadows, fate, and forbidden desire.
This dark-romance urban fantasy pulls you into a world where angels are not just messengers of light, but warriors bound by rigid vows and ancient hatreds. Claira finds herself caught between Gabriel, a cold, vengeful angel, and London, a cursed gargoyle tethered to Lucifer’s chains. As the echoes of the Devil’s return grow louder, Claira is thrust back into the mortal realm, burdened by a cursed medallion that demands the impossible before her time runs out.
With prose that reads like haunting poetry, this story is a visceral descent into a realm of rotting witches and soul-stealing fallen angels. It is a gripping, pulse-pounding experience that will keep you awake long into the night. If you are craving a paranormal romance that is as imaginative as it is dangerous, prepare to lose yourself in this unforgettable journey.

I couldn’t put it down, literally. Every page pulled me deeper into Claira’s unraveling fate, and I was hooked from the first line. The blend of thriller, romance, and fantasy is electric, but it’s the emotional depth that wrecked me in the best way. London and Gabriel aren’t just celestial forces, thier heartbreak wrapped me long after finishing the book. The QR-coded soundtrack made the experience feel cinematic, like I was living inside the story. Everything is haunting, beautiful, and...

Wow, Claira wakes up in what you would think as purgatory with her memory only up until her death. She now has to fight to keep the life she left and return to her new husband. London is a Gargoyle with secrets unearthing a terrible darkness thats coming for the Angles and Gabriel is the Angel that has sworn to protect Claira. Don't trust everything you read, the twist is the twistiest, Thank god I have book 2. )

⭐ 5 out of 5 stars 🌶️ 0 out of 5 A seriously underrated indie read. The book actually opens with Claira’s death, which immediately pulls you into the mystery of what happens next. From there the story dives into the afterlife and where souls go, bringing in angels, demons, gargoyles, vampires, heaven, and hell. But none of it feels recycled. The lore and origins are completely different from the usual takes, and somehow it all blends together in a way that just works. Claira’s journey as she...

This book was awesome! The author did an amazing job telling a story while also laying the groundwork for the history of the world she built. She purposely left out a lot to keep the reader guessing themselves on what was the truth. The ending was written beautifully and tied everything together. I can’t wait to see where this goes! In addition to this being a great story, the author did a few really cool things I’ve never seen before. She has a soundtrack BUT has links to specific songs...
