by Sawyer Bennett
Finley is a twenty-seven-year-old coffee shop manager in Seattle who has spent her entire life suppressing strange, terrifying visions. She has mastered the art of blending into the background, believing her experiences are nothing more than a fractured mind. However, a single moment of vulnerability shatters her carefully constructed reality, revealing that her life has been a carefully curated lie. Forced into a hidden world of angels, daemons, and fae, she realizes that the veil between realms is thinner than she ever imagined.
Navigating this dangerous new existence requires the help of Carrick Byrne, a wealthy and powerful enigma who is as infuriating as he is undeniably attractive. Their relationship serves as the heart of this gripping paranormal romance, defined by a delicious, slow-burn tension that keeps you questioning his true motives. As Finley struggles to understand her own latent powers, she must decide if Carrick is her greatest ally or a beautiful, calculated threat.
For readers seeking an immersive escape into a world where ancient myth collides with modern city life, this series opener delivers a fresh take on celestial lore. It is a compelling start to an epic journey of self-discovery, magic, and the shadows that lie between light and dark.

The Revelation Of Light and Dark (Chronicles Of The Stone Veil book 1) by Sawyer Bennett. Narrated by Lucy Rivers and Auden Snow. I love author Sawyer Bennett. I first found her with her Arizona Vengeance series, then I started listening to all her other books as well and I always enjoy her work just as I enjoyed this one. I liked the concept of this book and the story as well. It grabbed me from the start and I kept listening all the way through. I loved the narration, The narrators really...

I always enjoy a good fae book. This one was a good start to the series but it had a bit of world building that often felt slow. That said, I'm still here for it. This fantasy series is blended with a mystery. We don't know a great deal about who the two main characters really are and I suspect the discovery of that at some point in the series will prove interesting for sure. I believe a good deal of this book was setup for the series and since the book ended with one heck of a wow moment type...

Wow; a completely different genre from Sawyer Bennett, and it was fantastic!!! Finley is a 27-year-old Manager of a little coffee shop in Seattle (“One Bean”), who’s life is her job, which she totally loves. She doesn’t have hardly any family, as her mom passed away during childbirth & her dad committed suicide. She does have a fraternal twin sister, Fallon, whom she loves, but they’re total, polar opposites and not very close. Fallon went to college, owns an exclusive art gallery, has a...

This was a tough one to rate... It took me a little to really get into this story and to really connect with the characters, though some I connected to more than others. I liked the idea of the demons and fae, and the mystery of why Finley, a human, is able to see them when she shouldn't be able to. I wasn't sure what to think of Finley's sister Fallon and their relationship, and especially Fallon's fiancé who doesn't seem to make an effort with Finley. Jury is still kinda out on Carrick... he...

I have been anxiously awaiting this series and I wasn't disappointed. The Revelation of Light and Dark sets up this series nicely. We currently have more questions than answers but it's an exciting unfolding of mystery. Finley Porter is 27 and was born and raised in Seattle. Finley has struggled all of her life with mental health issues dealing with hallucinations and was hospitalized as a result. Now faced with the knowledge that she does t have mental health issues that she in fact does see...
