Accidentally Summoned Succubus: Spicy Adventures of the Suddenly Supernatural, Book 1

by J. Scott Miles

About this book

Twenty-two-year-old Dane Staley is a quintessential bookworm, perfectly content to spend his university days buried in library archives. His quiet, academic life shatters when a routine research trip spirals into a supernatural catastrophe. By stumbling upon an ancient ritual in the library’s forgotten depths, Dane inadvertently binds himself to a succubus, thrusting him into a hidden world of demons and dark magic.

This spicy urban fantasy blends the high-stakes tension of an elite supernatural academy with the unpredictable chemistry of a demon-deal gone wild. As Dane navigates his sudden transformation, he finds himself caught in a complex web of paranormal intrigue. Far from the typical alpha-male trope, Dane’s journey is one of genuine self-discovery and vulnerability as he balances his newfound powers with the intense demands of his unexpected partner.

Readers looking for a fresh take on the succubus-incubus dynamic will find plenty to love in this steamy, character-driven adventure. With a perfect mix of humor, heart, and over-the-top supernatural encounters, this story explores the evolving bond between a human caught in over his head and the otherworldly entity now tethered to his soul. Prepare for a spicy, unconventional journey where the library is just the beginning.

a very interesting read, room for growth

Certainly a very interesting read. The urban-fantasy mix is very well done. The author writes understandable, unique and believable characters. Author has room to grow, as there are 2 or 3 critical junctions in the book where characters make decisions that are poor, stupid, hasty, unintelligible or completely unbelievable for an actual person to make. Author could rephrase sections to make more believable but even then, an incredibly fun story ) One person found this helpful

Surprisingly heartwarming

While not my usual genre, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I was enjoying this story. The characters, while somewhat cliche, were good. The rules of the world were clearly explained. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is cuz the ending kind of felt abrupt? Maybe if it was built up earlier, but the main plot of Dane and the Succubus was great. )

Just wow!!

This is an absolutely amazing book I loved the modern day paranormal story and how the relationship that Dane and Maeve has progressed thru the story they are amazing chartered and seeing the love they developed was even better also I loved how she kept pushing to help him grow to become more than what he was to be the man she knew he could be I can’t recommend this enough honestly I know people will see the harem aspect or the spicy aspects and be on edge but this is an amazing story and the...

A really good book

I've read too many stories where the author gives the MMC a whole load of abilities and ladies with only passing attempts to make it make sense in the story. I can say this was a refreshing change of pace. A lot of work went into making the magic elements \"feasible in the real world\" and time was spent developing relationships, romantic and otherwise. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to keep reading the series. ) One person found this helpful

Started rough but got much better

The protagonist is a spineless wimp. Normally that is enough for me to drop a book immediately, but the story was interesting enough that I kept going. Even his girlfriend and best friend push him around. He rolls over and submits in the face of unbelievably outrageous behavior. Fortunately, the character does show growth and gets much better as the story goes on. Another nice thing is that women don't just fall into a harem immediately. His main girl is jealous of any other girls moving in....
