Crown Me Dead: A Dark Fantasy Romance (Heartstring Duet)
Liv Zander
by Jason Marino
The stakes have never been higher for a group of outcasts bound by blood, magic, and a volatile supernatural conspiracy. As the third installment of the Aetherborn series, this urban fantasy adventure cranks the tension to a breaking point, forcing our reluctant heroes into a world where every alliance is a gamble and every magical tether could snap under the weight of their enemies.
If you crave a slow-burn romance that defies traditional boundaries, look no further. This reverse-harem saga thrives on forced proximity and the kind of high-stakes heat that only comes when the world is ending. The dynamic between the leads is electric, anchored by a found-family bond that feels both earned and dangerously addictive. With witty banter acting as foreplay and a plot that moves with the unpredictability of a cat on catnip, this series masterfully balances gritty paranormal action with emotionally complex relationships.
Readers who loved the sharp repartee of The Dresden Files or the addictive chemistry of Burn for Me will find themselves obsessed with this latest chapter. Jason Marino has crafted a universe where morals are questionable, the violence is visceral, and the love is as chaotic as the magic itself. Prepare to be hooked.

For this third installment of the Aetherborn series, Jason Merino raises the bar in all aspects--great prose, witty dialogue, intriguing and engaging characters, and just the right amount of spice. Like the first two in the series, it's a well-crafted story in its own right, and this is probably the best of the three. ) One person found this helpful

Great series of books, well-descri bed world and magic system. It'd be delightful if there were a follow-up book or two... )

I don’t know that I can define why. But as I read the Aetherborn series each book 1, 2, and then 3, the sense of quality improved. Well worth the times the read them. An interesting premise begins with a bar manager low-end supernatural primary character who develops over time to become a ultra rich hero with multiple bonded young ladies. )

Great ending to this arc (hopefully more to come) which leaves most loose ends tied up nicely. )

Jason Marino does it again and ends this trilogy not with a whimper, but a BANG! The characters are playful, intelligent, and most importantly realistic, and the plot was engaging and well thought out. 9/10 )
