Nora Kelley has spent her life hiding a terrifying secret: she can see the predatory creatures stalking the human world from the shadows. For years, she has masked her isolation by longing for Caleb Fisher, her best friend’s older brother and the embodiment of everything she feels she cannot have. Just as she begins to settle into her quiet, complicated life, her twenty-fifth birthday shatters the barrier between reality and the unseen, thrusting her into a celestial conflict she never asked to join.
This faith-forward paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes spiritual warfare with the agonizing tension of a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers dynamic. As Nora discovers her true purpose, she finds herself caught in a dangerous tug-of-war between her divine calling and her deepening feelings for Caleb. When the darkness she has always feared begins to target those she holds dear, the line between duty and desire becomes a razor’s edge.
Readers who crave introspective, atmospheric stories will be captivated by Nora’s journey of self-discovery and sacrifice. As she faces the ultimate choice—obeying the call of the heavens or protecting the man who holds her heart—she realizes that love might be her greatest strength and her most devastating weakness. Prepare for a gripping, emotional odyssey where the fire of the spirit meets the heat of forbidden longing.

From the very first chapters, this story pulled me into a world where faith, romance, and spiritual warfare intertwine in a powerful and engaging way. Ascension: The Kingdom Series (Book 1) does an excellent job building tension between the unseen spiritual battle and the emotional journey of the characters, creating a story that feels both meaningful and exciting. The themes of faith, purpose, and inner strength are woven naturally into the narrative without slowing the pace of the romance and...

I really like science fiction books, and this book is one of them. Ascension: The Kingdom Series book talks about a lot of science fiction, which gave me a lot of joy and made me happy. It was very fantasy related, along with science fiction. In short, I really enjoyed reading the book. )

This is not something I normally read, but the premise looked interesting and I was looking for something light, so I decided to give it a chance. The story follows Nora and her friends as they discover they are divinely chosen and drawn into a larger spiritual conflict involving angels, demons, and Satan himself. The ideas presented, such as Ascension, spiritual warfare, guardian angels, and destiny, will be familiar to readers of Christian-themed fantasy. However, while the premise has...

\"Seek the Eternal Father in whatever you do, and everything will fall into place.\" I wanted to love this Christian romantic fantasy, but it fell short. Slow to start, a lot of unnecessary dialogue, and all the weepiness and tears. Too much. Developing romance between the protagonist, Nora Kelly and a childhood friend, Caleb Fisher drags on most of the book. Nora and her two friends Shauna and Eliza have been seeing evil creatures, Watchers, since they were children. Turns out the girls are...

I do very much enjoy mythology works from a Christian perspective, allowing oneself to interact with outide lore and faith makes for some interesting reads. The main character develops nicely and has a good consistency for her character. I call this a good solid replacement if you're looking for a \"fantasy romance\" but with a cleaner take. )
