Crown Me Dead: A Dark Fantasy Romance (Heartstring Duet)
Liv Zander
by Emily Antoinette
Mona is just trying to survive the suffocating weight of depression when a chance encounter turns her world upside down. The man she meets is tall, dark, and undeniably dangerous, quickly becoming the subject of her most depraved, vivid fantasies. She thinks she is being stalked, but the reality is far more supernatural; she has caught the attention of a demon struggling to keep his inner darkness from consuming them both.
This high-heat paranormal romance masterfully blends dark, seductive themes with a surprising amount of heart. As the two are drawn together by an irresistible, otherworldly pull, they must navigate a connection that defies logic. The story leans heavily into the demon-deals trope, exploring the tension between monstrous impulses and the desperate need for human connection. It is a raw, spicy exploration of desire that refuses to shy away from the complexities of mental health and self-image.
Beyond the steam, the book shines through a beautiful found-family dynamic that makes the residents of Moonvale feel like home. With a relatable, plus-size heroine and a hero fighting to be worthy of her, this is a must-read for anyone craving a transformative love story that is as wicked as it is sweet.

This book was perfection and I will accept zero criticism!! Mona is as real as a fat girl depicted in smutty romance can get--she isn't all rainbows and butterflies constantly in love with her body. She is vulnerable, sometimes self-conscious, and battles with her internalized fat phobia just like a normal person! She is learning to love herself, and Max is gently pushing her along the way. Max is a tortured and sweet cinnamon roll that you just wanna hug and cuddle with right after he rails...

i don’t think i’ve ever left a book review, even though i’m an avid reader, but something about emily antoinette has me in a chokehold!! first of all, i loved every single character. the FMC is plus size and becomes a burlesque dancer. as a plus size belly dancer i was already sold. my love for her grew even more when i realized she’s literally me! i felt so represented and literally felt like i was reading my own darn love story (i wish!). the MMC is also a PERFECT combo of dark, respectful,...

It was cute. I didn't love the writing style personally, but it wasn't bad. I really disliked Mona. As a plus-size woman with depression (among other things) I get the frustration and hurt over how you're treated in society. But she lingered and fixated on it so much more than most people. It was really her only personality trait. That and that she was kinky. Which isn't even something that's looked down on anymore. Her sexual interests were just another thing she was ashamed of. She really...
