Crown Me Dead: A Dark Fantasy Romance (Heartstring Duet)

by Ava York
Yorika enters the infamous bride market with a singular, lethal purpose: to sell herself to the monster responsible for her sister’s disappearance and end his life from the inside. But her target is no ordinary beast. As a Void Walker, he is a creature of shadows and ancient, suffocating power. When he claims her, she is dragged into his decaying realm, expecting a battle to the death. Instead, she finds a man drowning in his own solitude, watching her as if she is the only light left in his collapsing world.
This intense paranormal romance masterfully executes the enemies-to-lovers trope, turning a quest for vengeance into a volatile dance of desire and discovery. As the Void Walker’s touch grows increasingly desperate, Yorika realizes that everything she thought she knew about her enemy—and her sister’s fate—is a lie. The bond tightening between them is as dangerous as it is undeniable, forcing her to choose between the retribution she craved and the monster who has captured her soul.
Rich in atmosphere and brimming with emotional stakes, this story is a must-read for fans of dark, immersive monster romance. It is a haunting tale of revenge, renewal, and the terrifying beauty of finding love in the void.

A quest for revenge on the monster who killed her sister leads Yorika to the Bride Market and a Void Walker. She’s fierce and cunning, ready to enact her retribution on this fierce being. Only, things are not what they seem at all. Her time in the void starts with rage, determination and unresolved grief but ends with love, laughter and purpose. I really enjoyed it. ) One person found this helpful

While I love the more science fiction feel of this story it doesn't fit the feel of the Alia Terra books. That threw me off a lot and made it harder for me to get into ) 4 people found this helpful
