Crown Me Dead: A Dark Fantasy Romance (Heartstring Duet)

Grief is a heavy burden, but for one woman, it becomes a beacon for something ancient and hungry. After suffering a devastating personal loss that left her hollow, she accepts an invitation to a decaying New Orleans plantation, seeking nothing more than revenge against an old friend. She arrives armed with secrets and a heart full of pain, unaware that the crumbling estate hides a nightmare far worse than any human betrayal.
When a monstrous entity known as the Creeper emerges from the shadows, the weekend turns into a visceral fight for survival. While her friends flee in terror, she finds herself paralyzed—not by fear, but by an inexplicable, primal connection. This creature, with its fanged grin and otherworldly nature, seems to recognize the profound void of her motherhood and the raw, lingering ache of her body. Instead of being hunted, she becomes the object of a terrifying, supernatural obsession.
Blending visceral horror with the intensity of dark romance, this story pushes the boundaries of the paranormal genre. It is a haunting exploration of second chances found in the most monstrous of places. If you crave a tale where forbidden desire meets relentless gore, this hell-realm descent will leave you breathless and hungry for more.

To summarize this crudely, it's a Jeeper's Creepers fanfic hinged on breastfeeding. Is it done well? Yes. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Unfortunately for me, breast feeding isn't a favorite of mine, but I can appreciate the story for what it is and how the author did it. A fun, quick, dark horror romance. ) 2 people found this helpful

Even though the story sometimes felt disjointed, it didn’t make me want to stop reading. There were parts I did enjoy. Definitely different than anything I’ve read though. But I’m a...
