Crown Me Dead: A Dark Fantasy Romance (Heartstring Duet)

by Maggie White
Nephesh, the first son of Lucifer, was born to rule the chaos of Hell. As a powerful hybrid of a witch and a fallen angel, he spent centuries carving out his dark domain, only to suffer a loss that cost him his humanity. Haunted by the memory of a soul he couldn't protect, he has spent an eternity waiting for a chance to reclaim what was stolen. He is a demon bound by duty, but driven by a singular, desperate need for redemption.
Justine has spent her life running from a shadow that defies explanation. When a brush with death forces her into a dangerous pact with the heir to the Underworld, she finds herself thrust into a war that spans centuries. Caught between the allure of the man who promises her safety and the terrifying reality of his demonic realm, Justine must decide if her soul is a price she is willing to pay for a life she never thought possible.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes hell-realm politics with an intense, fated-mates connection. Maggie White delivers a compelling sequel that explores the thin line between savior and sinner, proving that even in the deepest pits of Hell, love remains the ultimate power.

I loved when Cerberus blocked them off from kissing. I cackled so loud because my dog does the same thing. I can't wait to be able to get my hands on book 3 and the rest of the series! )

I am really enjoying this series so far! White’s concept of the underworld is very interesting and I love that each book will seemingly be one of the brothers finding the other half of his soul. That being said, I also feel like this book was a lot more character driven rather than story driven, focusing mostly on Judge and Justine; whereas the first book seemed to explain a lot more of the goings on in the underworld while also delving into the relationship between Arafel and Lucia. We don’t...

This is the second book in the Lords of the Underworld series. This book is a great mix of mythology and magic. Great book! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This book has strong, well-developed characters, an interesting story line full of suspense, danger, action, mystery, unexpected twists, and an ending that left me wanting to read the next book in the series. received an advance review copy for free, and I am...

When half of his soul is thought to be lost forever, he meets Justine, a morally grey thief who may be the key in finding his other half. I absolutely loved this book. The romance of...
