I was so excited to get more of Desi and Scout and boy was it good!! This was a darker, grittier side of Scout and Desi’s relationship. It was real and harsh and incredible to read. I enjoyed that there was tension in the growing pains of their relationship this time around. I really, really enjoyed the first book, and was super excited to hear about a second book in a potential series! Also love that Scout is Chicana/Mexican rep! We rejoin vampire lovers, Desi and Scout, post-curse, and we are meeting the whole family! Lots of trouble and mayhem is quick to follow. Desi and Scout meet the Amato family, and the rest of the Seven Sins, but Desi seems to not be the Desi Scout knows and loves when around two particular Sins...lines are crossed, and hearts are broken....

I was blown away with this book. I thought the first one was good, wow was I in for a huge awakening. This book hit every mark for me.
