Crown Me Dead: A Dark Fantasy Romance (Heartstring Duet)

by Nikki St
The Demon King crossed into our world with a singular mission: reclaim his stolen power. He never expected that power to be tethered to me. What began as a cold, calculated pursuit has spiraled into an intoxicating game of cat and mouse, where the stakes are as high as the tension in our shared bedroom. I am a vessel for his essence, and he is a monster determined to drain me dry, yet the lines between hunter and prey are blurring with every scorching touch.
This is a dark romance that thrives on the friction of enemies-to-lovers. As we navigate the treacherous politics of hell-realms, the slow-burn heat between us threatens to incinerate everything in our path. I know he views me as a means to an end, but the possessive hunger in his eyes tells a different story. He wants my submission, but he is discovering that I am far more dangerous than he anticipated.
When a buried secret from my past surfaces, the fragile truce shatters. Now, the man who once seduced me is ready to destroy me. But he made a fatal error in judgment: he taught me how to fight back. With my own power finally awakening, the war has only just begun.

Wow, Nikki St. Crowe's writing in *Sinful Demon King* is absolutely captivating—I couldn’t put it down! The smut is incredibly well done, and I really loved the relationship between Rain and Gus. Wrath and Rain together also had me hooked, but I was shocked by the unexpected turn in the story and how she broke her promise. I hope she finds a way to make things right and earn forgiveness. This is definitely a five-star read for me! )

Got all the books in the series. It’s a quick and easy read I like it. )

As a previous reviewer said, Rain, the FMC, is stupid and that kind of lets the story down for me. I was like \"Seriously? You're going to do this?\" I don't want to give any spoilers though so I'll leave it there. Otherwise it's a very entertaining and suspenseful story. ) 3 people found this helpful

The other reviews kind of surprise me. I thought there would be more people bothered with Wrath. I agree that Rain is immature and all but Wrath has literally beat her in the book. He has no problems hurting her and threatening her life as well has hurting the people she care for. He has saved her repeatedly sure. But from Rains pov she feels used by him and she is. He at no point has convinced me as the reader that he actually cares for her beyond what she is. I've read enough that I know...

Tropes: ~Demon King/Alternate World ~Sassy FMC ~Rough, Possessive ~Enemies to Lovers The second installment keeps up a fast pace. Rain is really trying to figure out who she is, her importance, who to trust, etc. She definitely messes up a good bit and there's parts where I want to shake her with who she trusts, but still a great read. Lots of tension continues between Rain & Wrath, especially as trust is hard to find between them, despite a growing connection and feelings. Love the tension,...
