Book one ended on a happily ever after. This sequel takes place three months later when Selene and Sam return to meet his parents, the rulers of the underworld. This book ends on a cliffhanger, although several plot points were resolved, so it's more of a lead-in to the next book. Book three is supposed to come out in 2026. I like how Sam & Selene are a confident and established couple. There's no relationship drama at all. This story isn't about romantic tension, it's about facing obstacles...

\"Too much unseemly behavior ignores my demonic instincts.\" Selene & Sam. This is the second in the Shadows of Aurelia series and it did not disappoint! Another cliffhanger and I'm not even mad about it. I can't wait to read the next in the series. Pacing continues to be quick and kept my attention all the way through. Selene & Sam are a dream couple, thoughtful towards each other, attentive, and supportive. Their conflict comes from outside and their adventures with Sam's family kept me on...

I am so thankful that I was able to reach out to Avalon Griffin and receive and e-ARC of the second book. You all know I loved Unbound by Shadows and I actually had no idea there was even going to be a second book but was thrilled that there was! The second book continues to follow Selene and Sam’s adventures as they travel to the underworld. I love that we get to see previous characters come back into play but also that we get more chartacter development. Zeta is my new favorite pet in a book....
