In the humid, shadow-drenched streets of New Orleans, Casey Nicholson runs a quiet tarot shop in Jackson Square, believing her sensitivity is merely an intuitive gift for reading people. That belief shatters when the restless spirit of Lena Marceau appears in a cemetery, pleading for help to solve her own brutal murder. Thrust into a terrifying urban fantasy world where the veil between the living and the dead is dangerously thin, Casey finds herself targeted by a ruthless conspiracy surrounding a powerful industrial empire.
Enter Special Agent Ryder McKinley, a rugged operative from the elite Krewe of Hunters. Ryder carries his own heavy burden, arriving in the city to investigate his cousin’s mysterious death. He is a man who understands the chilling reality of spirits, and when his path crosses with Casey’s, he realizes she has become a pawn in a lethal game of greed and vengeance.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends spine-tingling suspense with an undeniable spark of chemistry. As Casey and Ryder delve into the darkness to protect the living and find justice for the dead, they must confront a very human evil that refuses to stay buried. Perfect for fans of supernatural mystery, this story is a pulse-pounding race against time.

A short and sweet novella addition to the Krewe of Hunters series. If you’re a fan of the Krewe of Hunters, then this novella is an enjoyable short standalone. If you’ve never read any of them, I’d recommend going back to the beginning and starting there, because it’s a good idea to know the background before reading the novellas! Recommended for fans of paranormal romance, and Krewe of Hunters fans. )
