Melisande Blythe thought closing a hell gate would earn her a well-deserved break, but for a celebrity ghost wrangler with a crippling narcoleptic disorder, peace is never on the menu. Just as she begins to find solace in the arms of the one man who truly sees her, she is snatched away, thrust into a harrowing realm where shadows possess teeth and the dead are hungry for a queen.
This dark paranormal urban fantasy plunges readers into a high-stakes game of survival. Mel is held captive in a haunted mountain keep, forced to navigate a sinister mystery while her captors demand her cooperation. Caught between a soul-devouring threat and a desperate longing to return to the life she fought to protect, she must decide if she is a pawn in their game or a force strong enough to break them.
Blending chilling horror with intense, high-spice dark romance, this installment of The Hell Gate series is perfect for those craving a gritty, atmospheric read. With its unique blend of ghost-hunting sleuthing and morally complex tension, it offers an addictive escape for fans of edgy urban fantasy who like their romance with a dangerous, supernatural bite.

The description does have a warning. I did not pay too much attention to it. I did not expect a ghost porn story. I did not appreciate all the new characters thrown in to try and advance the story. It just gave it a random feeling where nothing was connected. A majority of the chapters jump back and forth between the two main characters. This was annoying to me to keep switching between each ones story. I still have not finished it because I have to put it down so often. I can't get through it...
