Death is no longer the final curtain for the Librarian. After five centuries of guarding the Arcanaeum in ghostly solitude, Kyrie has been thrust back into the messy, vibrant, and dangerous world of the living. What began as a quiet existence has exploded into a high-stakes mystery as she discovers that the figures from her past are not as buried as she once believed.
This gripping second installment in the paranormal series deepens the bond between Kyrie and the six powerful heirs who have shattered her isolation. As the boundaries between life and undeath dissolve, the stakes rise, forcing her to confront long-buried secrets and the terrifying possibility that her murder was only the beginning. Readers who crave a slow-burn reverse-harem dynamic will be hooked by the intense emotional development and the mounting tension that defines this why-choose romance.
Marie Mistry masterfully weaves atmospheric ghost lore with complex character dynamics, ensuring that the stakes are just as high for the heart as they are for the soul. If you are looking for an addictive blend of spectral mystery and passionate chemistry, this series is your next obsession. Prepare to be completely consumed by the secrets of the Arcanaeum.

Genuinely one of my most anticipated books for the year that I sped through within 24 hours. Loved we got to see Kyrie still smart and kicking butt, but in this book she gets to explore more emotional connections when in the past sheβs had to stay so separate from her library patrons. No spoilers, but that cliffhanger was ROUGH and had me yelling aloud in despair that I have to wait probably another year for the final book. But Iβve already got a reminder in my calendar, so that should say...

I would not have read this book with such fever if I didnβt think it was a duology. I started to get concerned the further we went along that things werenβt wrapping up. Then BAM, massive surprise cliffhanger. And no third (or more) book dates set yet. I would have waited until the series was complete if I...
