About this book

Celeste finds solace in the rain-drenched silence of her uncle’s cemetery, drawn to the melancholy beauty of stone markers and overgrown greenery. However, her sanctuary reveals a chilling truth: the grounds are home to restless spirits tethered to the living world. When she discovers that the boundary between the living and the dead is thinner than she ever imagined, her peaceful escape transforms into a haunting confrontation with the afterlife.

Caius is the enigmatic guardian of this spectral realm, a man who views the cemetery not as a place of mourning, but as a sanctuary for those who have nowhere else to go. He has watched Celeste from the shadows, desperate to keep her away while simultaneously captivated by her presence. As their lives—and deaths—begin to overlap, they are pulled into an ethereal, slow-burn romance that defies the traditional limits of time and mortality.

This atmospheric ghost story thrives on lush, evocative imagery and an undeniable tension that builds with every page. Perfect for readers who crave a paranormal romance that prioritizes mood and longing over traditional thrills, this narrative explores the profound connection between two souls separated by the ultimate divide. It is a haunting, beautifully written meditation on love that transcends the grave.

Has potential but feels incomplete

I really enjoyed the characters and the love they shared. This was a really short book I feel like it would have been more enjoyable if the writer expanded more on the world building and the \"why\" of it all. There is so much potential for this story and I really liked it but there were some holes and questions left unanswered. I feel like it could really be expanded upon and be a 5 star paranormal tragedy romance. )

This was a uniquely engaging read. The novel begins with a funeral where readers get to really dive into the authors beautifully executed imagery. The authors technique to paint a picture carries throughout. I was taken to the world of ominous and dark purgatory with ghostly vibes. I loved the way the love story played out. It was both angsty and satisfying. I commend the ability to draw out the love story while still maintaining the reality of emotions in the wake of losing a loved one. I was...

Atmospheric Love Story

“There was dark green ivy twisted around the edges, snaking its way through the bars and reaching the top.” Celeste is brokenhearted. Her uncle has passed, and as we begin the story, we are at his memorial. Only close family members, one couple who were his close friends, and the officiant are attending. It’s raining, it’s overshadowed by intense grief, and Celeste is beside herself. Caius sees her for the first time at this funeral, beautiful in her grief, gazing at her from deep within the...
