Review first published on jenasbookreviews.blogspot.com The first full novel in the Bewitching Bedlam series. Maddie is working hard to get her B&B ready to open for business as she is also getting accustomed to her new life in Bedlam and her hot new vampire boyfriend, Aegis. Maddy is having problems as she is about to open. Neighbors are one thing but a dead body is no good for business. She soon discovers that she is the intended target and must uncover who it is before they finish the job. This book was a great intro to this character... well if you don't count the prequel. In this book you actually get to see more of Bedlam and learn about the interesting people who are drawn there. A must read! )

This series starts strong, with a tie in to the old tale if Tom of Bedlam and Mad Maudlin. As usual. Galenorn has created a vibrant world with interesting characters. Her heroes have relatable flaws, that make them \"human\" and therefore more likely to capture the reader's interest. Galenorn is adept at closing one story while leading into a new chapter. Bedlam is intriguing, Maddy and crew are fascinating. I look forward to more stories set on the island. )

She had the altercation with Ralph...
