About this book

Searching for solitude in his ancestral Virginia estate, widower Richard Craft hopes to finally finish his novel. Instead, he discovers that his family home is teeming with restless spirits and long-buried secrets. This was a surprise of a story and I really had a hard time putting it down. The characters and plot sucked me in and kept me entertained in a variety of ways. I loved the way the author wrote the book - it felt like I was right there inside of the story itself. Great job! I think my next read with be the prequel to this story! )

I like this author because....

....he tells the story like it is an autobiography. in a way. Interesting, has some historical facets to it and the characters are all like-able. I will be reading his other novel, I am sure. There is some \"sax and violins\" (if you catch my drift) in this novel but it is not filled with it and it does fit the story. A little repetitious but mostly enjoyable and a page-turner. )

Loved it!
