Frayed Edges - A Mary O'Reilly Paranormal Mystery (Book Seventeen) (Mary O'Reilly Series 17)

by Terri Reid

About this book

The Super Moon casts an eerie glow over the campus, but the light reveals a tragedy rather than a wonder. When a brilliant college student’s life is cut short by a single, echoing gunshot, the investigation points toward a dangerous conspiracy. Was her death a random act of violence, or did her deep-dive research into a corrupt bio-tech firm make her a target? Mary O'Reilly and her partner, Bradley, must step onto the academy grounds to uncover the truth, because until they do, the restless spirit of the victim, Ruth McCredie, will never find peace.

This seventeenth installment in the beloved series perfectly blends the cozy charm of paranormal mystery with a high-stakes academic backdrop. As Mary balances the pressure of solving a cold-blooded murder with the domestic joy of planning a Thanksgiving feast and a milestone birthday celebration, readers are treated to the signature warmth and suspense that have made this series a long-standing favorite.

If you are a fan of ghostly mysteries that weave together supernatural intrigue and evolving romance, Frayed Edges is the perfect addition to your reading list. Terri Reid delivers another quick, compelling read that proves why Mary O'Reilly remains a staple for paranormal mystery enthusiasts everywhere.

Ghostly Good Read

My son introduced me to this author because she wrote about my home state and her mysteries involved ghosts. He knew I would love it, and 17+ books later I have to admit he was right. Although I never lived in the Freeport area, I know of it, and somehow that makes all the mysteries more real for me! In this latest one, the scandal about modified corn and safety issues about eating meat that had fed on it was very interesting. The mystery of the actual murder was well plotted and I was...

Mary O'Reilly is planning not only a Thanksgiving feast for her family and friends but also a surprise party for Clarissa...her first birthday with Bradley and Mary. But first, she is hoping to cross over some more souls from the Gund Cemetery, victims of a cholera epidemic in the late 1800s. But when she gets to the cemetery, one of the lost souls points out a new addition to their group, a young girl murdered and left in the nearby cornfield. Mary soon becomes involved in learning who...

A must read for Mary O'Reilly followers.

The Mary O'Reilly books are one of my favorite series to read. The characters are interesting, strong and have a little humor thrown in for good measure. The fact that Mary is able to help the dead to cross over gives the stories more substance. This one even threw in a colony of ghost rats that, at first, I thought a little strange, but it came together well. I read this one quickly and am waiting for the next in the series. Thank you to Terri Reid and her enormous gift. )
