Midlife is supposed to be about finding yourself, not fighting for the fate of the universe. Just as things finally seem to settle, the peace is shattered when the ghosts our heroine previously guided into the Light return—including her own deceased husband. When the fabric of the afterlife begins to fray, she realizes that someone is manipulating the cosmic balance, threatening to unleash a Darkness that could consume everything she holds dear.
This twelfth installment of the beloved Good to the Last Death series perfectly blends paranormal suspense with laugh-out-loud humor. If you crave a witty, fast-paced read featuring a fierce heroine, a loyal immortal partner, and a band of delightfully eccentric friends, this is your next obsession. It is a masterclass in the "found family" trope, offering a refreshing, relatable take on the midlife crisis that happens to involve battling celestial entities and navigating the bizarre complexities of the afterlife.
Whether you are a longtime fan of Robyn Peterman’s signature voice or a newcomer looking for a fun, creative paranormal romance, this book delivers. It is a wild, heartfelt ride that proves no matter how chaotic life gets, true strength is found in the people who stand by your side until the very end.

A fun read! I enjoy the series as a woman in mid-life. I can relate, but that's not required to enjoy this series. The characters are interesting and unexpected, as is some of the dialogue, lol. I often laugh out loud when I read them. ) One person found this helpful

Another great addition to the series. The power of three to defeat the Higher Power. The characters are so real they step off the page. Laugh out loud moments, suspense and the true meaning of family. Love love this series. A must read. ) One person found this helpful

I know it's fiction, but this version of the higher power...well, I have a real one, so this one was a bit hard to take. This series is one of the funniest, well-written storylines I have read in a long time. If you love to read and escape the real world, and crack up while you're doing it, THIS is the series. Hands down. I don't have to say it because I'm already positive that you will, but... Enjoy! **Start at Book 1!** ) 4 people found this helpful
