Carly Fullerton and Alex Townson are both looking for the same thing: a peaceful escape from the pressures of their demanding lives. When they arrive at a remote mountain cabin expecting solitude, they find themselves trapped in an accidental, high-stakes roommate situation. Carly is exhausted, Alex is a prickly thriller author, and both are equally determined to claim the space for themselves. An uneasy truce is their only option, but the silence they crave is quickly shattered by something far more persistent than their own bickering.
The cabin is occupied by a pair of mischievous resident ghosts who have absolutely no intention of letting these two strangers live in peace. These ethereal matchmakers are determined to spark a romance, using supernatural pranks and clever interventions to force the duo closer together. As the tension between the stubborn pair shifts from irritation to undeniable chemistry, they must contend with the unsettling reality that they are not alone in the woods.
Perfect for fans of paranormal romance, this charming tale blends small-town warmth with a whimsical ghostly twist. If you enjoy forced proximity tropes, witty banter, and a touch of the afterlife, this heartwarming story will keep you turning pages until the very end.

‘If I Loved You’ was touching. The plot involved a chance meeting between two strangers, an interesting portrait hanging on the wall, unfortunate family dynamics, town’s people intimating about a haunted cabin, sorting out career passions, an unwelcome blast from the past, stressing out over a writing deadline, contemplating selling a catering business, focusing on a muse, and falling in love. Moreover, Carly and Alex, the protagonists, were ideally suited for each other and gushed with...

The characters were well thought out and very realistic. I enjoyed the story and love that there was no foul language or sex scences. I will be reading more of Joanne Prince's books. )
