A comforting story about coming home.

July 14, 2014

This unique romance features a down-on-her-luck heroine with a broken heart, thrown together with her hero by their shared desire for a particularly charming house--and each other. It is made even sweeter by an unlikely character; the ghost of an adorable old lady who meddles in their affairs from beyond the grave, acting like a spectator and conspirator in their budding romance. The book is often hilarious, sprinkled generously with humor that had me breaking into smiles and laughs at...

A Lovely Little Romance with a Paranormal Twist!

September 18, 2014

In Love With A Haunted House was a lovely and heartwarming piece of chick lit with a paranormal twist. It's was the kind of story that can either reaffirms one's belief in love, not lust, at first sight or make one want to believe in it. I fall into the former category. Although the instant attract plot device was used, its use was validated and plausible. There weren't any sex scenes and the couple were given enough time to get to know each other so their instant attraction, feelings and...

Good characters and plot but not well developed

September 17, 2014

It was just...ok. Good characters and plot but not well developed. Easy to read, kept my attention but did not reach it's potential. It could have had more substance. Sometimes the dialogue just wasn't right and felt like the characters were rushed into their relationship. I'm not sure how they got from point A (first meeting) to point B (discussing a possible future together). This all happened in about a day! I feel like I missed a couple of chapters!! It left me feeling luke-warm. ) 2 people...

Riveting page turner right up until the ending!

July 9, 2014

This book grabbed me from the first sentence, by bringing the main character to life. I was drawn in to the saga with that sentence, and quickly understood that her life was going to change and she wasn't going to take the problems lying down. Mallory is a strong character, not a wishy-washy woman, she picks herself up and moves on without being bitter or downtrodden. The author's sense of humor is apparent throughout the book, as one tiny mishap after another happens, some caused by...
