Kissed by Chaos: Her Immortal Monsters, Book 1

by Kel Carpenter

About this book

Nathalie is not your typical supernatural heroine. She prefers snacks over swordplay and survival over saving the world. As an outcast witch living on the fringes of society, she relies on her razor-sharp memory and a touch of chaotic magic to remain invisible. But when her carefully constructed life unravels, she finds herself squarely in the crosshairs of three dangerously alluring men who refuse to take no for an answer.

This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends high-stakes tension with the slow-burn intensity of a reverse harem dynamic. As Nathalie navigates the ghosts of her past and the threats of her present, she is forced into an unlikely alliance. The narrative excels at the found-family trope, weaving together a complex web of loyalty and betrayal that challenges Nathalie to trust again despite her shattered heart.

While the story drops readers directly into a rich, established world that feels like an unfolding epic, the character-driven narrative keeps you hooked from the first page. If you are searching for a series that balances dark supernatural mystery with witty, stubborn protagonists and a dash of forbidden longing, this is your next obsession. Prepare to get lost in a world where chaos is just the beginning.

not sure about where this story is going

I will literally read anything Kel Carpenter puts out and I loved the previous story in this world so was so excited for this book about Nathalie! It is still amazing writing, great characters, and a gripping story but honestly I don’t love menage stories but again oh well it’s Kel Carpenter, but I really don’t like this foreshadowing that august will be one of Nathalie’s men, Sasha deserves happiness and so far I find august to be a big jerk, I really don’t like where women are out against...

I’m a Little Lost

The book was good and I’ll don’t the series. But it doesn’t read like the 1st book in a series. It’s more like a 2nd or 3rd. So many side characters and the way the author writes it’s like we should already know their back story. Like with one of the love interests, he has a mate but hates her and rejected her. But it never says why he hates her. It’s like we’re supposed to already know why. Also the same with her ex. No details in the why did he choose her sister. And speaking of sisters,...

Rough to follow

Lots of characters right away. Pet peeve of mine. I don't know if I missed a prequel or something, but SO much happened that it was hard to keep everything straight. Low on amount of smut, but quality of smut was good. ) 5 people found this helpful
