A fresh perspective on a classic ghost story

This beautiful novel breathes new life into the old familiar tale if a ghost falling in love with a mortal. But Lucie and the Captain is so much more than that! This recreation will make you feel everything -the heartbrokenness of Lucie the widow, the grumpy bluntness of a Captain still angry at himself for dying, the wilyness of family with false kindness and ill intentions….the cast is all here, and even some new faces. Katherine Lange has created a world of hope and magic and love that...

A few anachronisms, but do not detract from an excellent retelling of the Ghost &Mrs. Muir story

The book presents a thorough look into the heroine 's emotional background and makes her more the center of the story. The slapstick created by the Claymore character has been removed and pieces of the book, movie and TV show are well blended into a sensible whole. ) 2 people found this helpful
