Deadwood is rarely a quiet place for Violet Parker, but in this sixth installment of the series, the mayhem reaches a fever pitch. Just when she hopes for a moment of peace, Violet finds herself stumbling over yet another butchered corpse. With the cameras rolling and her reputation as a magnet for disaster growing, she is forced back into the line of fire. If she wants to protect the people she loves most, she has to solve the mystery before the killer sets their sights on her.
Blending sharp-witted humor with heart-pounding suspense, this urban fantasy romp delivers everything fans of the series crave. Violet’s journey is once again complicated by a cast of ghoulish ghosts who are as chatty as they are persistent. Whether she is dodging deadly threats or navigating her tangled romantic life, the stakes have never felt higher. It is a wild, rough-and-rowdy ride that perfectly balances grit with supernatural flair.
If you are looking for a paranormal romance that refuses to take itself too seriously while still delivering a solid, gripping mystery, this is your next obsession. Join the eccentric Deadwood gang for a hilarious, ghostly hoedown that proves some reputations are impossible to escape.

I just finished this book! Loved it! A great addition to the series - which just keeps getting better! Humor, mystery, ghosts, romance, great dialog! I don't read a lot of paranormal stuff but this series is just plain fun - the characters are great - bunch of wise-asses which are my favorite kind! The ghosts and things that go bump in the night are suitably creepy. This is the 6th in the series and now we find out Violet is a ... well I'll let you find out for yourself - but I will say she's...

This book was as good as the rest of the series. From the very first page Violet is already involved with a dead body. Violet sets out to find the killer where she meets new ghostly friends. Of course as always Cooper is breathing down Violets back along now with Detective Hawk which makes for an interesting investigation. Violet will begin to recognize her strange calling and family history from her Aunt Zoe which I found very interesting and scary at the same time. All the same characters are...

This was another thoroughly entertaining and knee slapping, rough and rowdy hoedown of a good time in to the world of Violet, Doc, Coop, Harvey, Nathalie & the rest of the Deadwood gang. There's drama, spooky moments, suspense, humor and romance. In fact, the spark flying between Violet and Doc are likely to singe yo britches! This continue to be one of my all time Cozy Mysteries with a supernatural, paranormal and romantic twist. Wooo Doggy!!! On to book #7!! I tell ya, I'm happier than a fat...

Along with that you get a mystery that makes you want to follow all the way to the end...of course you hope it never will end! I think of Ann Charles not only as...

Let me start by saying I LOVE this series! It's the perfect blend of mystery, romance and shot of paranormal thrown in for good measure !I'm still in shock with the ending of this book and all the information we learned about Violet and her crazy crew! Like the other books in this series it takes place in Deadwood South Dakota.Once again poor Violet stumbles into another mystery surrounding a dead body.Only this time she's with Harvey and Natalie. Enter Detective Cooper with all his grumbling...
