The gates of the afterlife are swinging wide, and the stakes have never been higher for Cara and her spectral warrior, Quin. As the third installment of the gripping Freak House trilogy, this paranormal romance plunges readers back into a world where the veil between the living and the dead is dangerously thin. When a long-buried mystery surrounding the Myer family resurfaces, it brings with it the return of a formidable nemesis, forcing the couple to confront an enemy that threatens to tear them apart forever.
This is a masterclass in slow-burn tension and historical atmosphere. The dynamic between the intelligent, resilient Cara and the brooding, alpha-male spirit of Quin crackles with an intensity that only gets more desperate as the truth unfolds. Beyond the ghost-filled corridors and haunting secrets, the story explores the agonizing question of whether love can truly transcend the boundaries of mortality. Their enemies-to-lovers tension evolves into a profound fight for survival, leaving you breathless as they race against time.
If you are hunting for an addictive, character-driven read that balances spine-tingling suspense with deep emotional resonance, look no further. Bridget Thomas weaves a spellbinding conclusion that will keep you guessing until the final, heart-wrenching page.

Ms Archer is an amazing story teller and a master of sexual suspense in a historical setting. I’m looking forward to more. )

I think I have read most of your books and intend to ferret out the rest. Your stories are addictive and although I read a lot of different author's books I have found that everything you write and I read leads me to the next story in every series. And I am even signed up and waiting for the next releases in the future. Your books are imaginative and well laid out. I believe for any generation your books can entertain. My thanks to you for your efforts and I will look forward to reading the few...

I really enjoyed this series. It was a book with a difference. The heroine was an articulate, intelligent and strong woman and the hero was an alpha male. FINALLY a book with an alpha male where the woman is not a weakling! The only two pet peeves that I have are that there was a bit too much crying and for some reason all the villains with the exception of one was described as unattractive. Make it three because there were also one or two editing issues. None of these things however was so bad...

And what a beautiful ending to an absolutely fantastic series of 3, 3 book stories! From the very beginning book to the last you find yourself enraptured by the ongoing stories of all the characters you meet along the way. These stories are intriguing, romantic, thrilling and take place in and around London in the late 1800's adding to all that they are steeped in the supernatural! I don't think you can find a better written series, I loved each and every one of them. Though I purchased all...

I've enjoyed reading all of the books by C.J.Archer that I have read so far! I loved the characters and their stories about being mediums, demons, warriors and true love! It's like your there in that era with her characters and it's really difficult when you know that it's the end of those characters until it's a continuation of those same characters in her next book of trilogies and introducing new characters that also intertwine with the old characters! Can't wait to start reading Strange...
