Historian Carrie Jo Jardine has a dangerous gift: she dreams the past. When she is hired to restore the crumbling Seven Sisters mansion in Mobile, Alabama, she expects a professional challenge. Instead, she finds herself trapped in a haunting Southern Gothic mystery where the veil between the living and the dead is dangerously thin. As she unearths the tragic secrets of heiress Calpurnia Cottonwood, Carrie Jo realizes the mansion’s spirits are demanding to be heard.
This gripping third installment of the series masterfully blends chilling paranormal suspense with a simmering, slow-burn romance. As Carrie Jo delves into a dark history of betrayal and family tragedy, she finds her heart pulled toward her employer, Ashland Stuart. The chemistry between them provides a tether to reality, but as the shadows within the walls grow more aggressive, she realizes that uncovering the truth could cost her everything.
Fans of atmospheric ghost stories will be captivated by the rich, immersive setting and the relentless tension. Unlike its predecessors, this final chapter delivers a deeply satisfying conclusion that ties up the long-standing mystery of the Cottonwood legacy. If you are looking for a haunting, page-turning romance that lingers in your mind long after the final chapter, this is your next obsession.

The first book is fabulous and as soon as it ends, you have to start reading the second one. As soon as it ends you have to start reading the third! The books are wonderful. There is mystery, heart pounding intrigue, love... I can't say enough about how good this series is. I am a voracious reader and I almost don't want to finish because the series is so good. More, more, more! )

This is the 3rd and final book in the series. Other reviews I have read about the series grumbled because books one and two just stopped and you had to buy the next one to finish the story. This is true but I got book 1 for free and books 2 and 3 for 2.99 each so I wasn't upset at all. I just paid 6 bucks for a really good book. The plot was interesting and kept my attention and I enjoyed the read. )

In this continuing story of the Seven Sisters saga, the quest for answers continues. Where is Calpurnia? CJ continues her look back in history to find answers. This one does not end in a cliffhanger. It is a great read with a wonderful conclusion. It will be a series I continue to read. If you like historical reads, you will be delighted in this page turning series. )

This 3 book series was well written, held my interest and I read all three in a couple days. They are on the shorter side but so well worth every penny. I would love to see a book 4 come out. I read the reviews before starting the series and several folks rated it low because of the length of the book. It is OUR responsibility as the buyer to research things like ratings, length, prices etc and it is unfair to an author to rate a well written and worthy book low because someone didn't take a...

I just finished this book, which is book three in the series. I did enjoy the book. The author can hold your interest and has promise as an author. The caveat here is that all three of these books really only amount to one complete book. The first two volumes are about 150 pages each, and the third only 108 pages. Each of the first two books stops abruptly in the middle of the narrative.I actually love reading series, but felt cheated with this one. It was certainly not a novel with sequels,...
