In the neon-soaked, chaotic city of Inferno, peace is a luxury Tareal Vanth cannot afford. As a demi-fae necromancer, his days are usually spent managing the dead and keeping the local authorities at arm’s length. However, his routine is shattered when Elektra, a formidable Reaper, arrives with an ultimatum. A rogue necromancer is threatening to shred the Veil, and only their combined, volatile power can stop an undead uprising.
This paranormal romance delivers a masterclass in tension, blending dark magic with an irresistible enemies-to-lovers dynamic. As Tareal and Elektra navigate a world crawling with sassy ghosts and ancient secrets, the attraction crackles between them like a live wire. Their forced proximity triggers deep-seated fae mating instincts that prove just as dangerous as the enemies they hunt. With a unique infusion of Etruscan mythology and high-stakes supernatural intrigue, the narrative keeps you guessing while the heat between the leads remains constant.
Whether you are a fan of K.F. Breene or simply love stories featuring grumpy necromancers and powerful reapers, this installment is a must-read. It is a wild, spicy, and expertly paced adventure that proves why the Inferno Universe is a staple for urban fantasy lovers who demand both grit and glamour.

Let me tell y’all, Vanth and Elektra were, you guessed it, electric. This story’s roots were the most fascinating in the Inferno world to me. I hadn’t heard of any Etruscan mythology before, and having it be included in this book was rad. The premise was so engaging, with characters you can’t help but love and that signature Alessa spice that always hits. Inferno is spectacular. )

Another good story in this series even with it being a bit different than the first three. The change in power dynamics was fun and I liked the addition of the fey lore. The only thing is that what was called a Selkie sounds a lot more like a Kelpie what with the fresh body of water and the hooves. )

Great plot, well drawn characters with exciting chemistry between the love interests. I was riveted from the first chapter. Another excellent adventure from Alessa Thorn. ) One person found this helpful

This was very well done and enjoyable. But it better not be the end. We need Galen’s story that was teased so nicely and we haven’t had a dragon story yet. You can’t just introduce us to the dragons finally and not give us a dragon story for inferno! )

The main storyline was interesting and engaging. The climax was kinda blah, and I found the sex scenes excessive and skipped them all. This an issue in all four stories in this series. )
