The Haunting of Chateau de Mornay (The Haunting Trilogy)

by Blake Edward Andrew

About this book

Seeking a fresh start after a devastating loss, Anna Stone purchases a crumbling 17th-century French chateau, hoping to transform the historic relic into a sanctuary. Instead, she finds herself trapped in a waking nightmare. As renovation crews peel back the wallpaper of the estate, they expose the grisly secrets of the French Revolution, awakening a powerful, malevolent spirit that refuses to remain buried in the past.

This gripping paranormal gothic horror blends chilling historical mystery with a haunting, high-stakes romance that defies the boundaries of life and death. As faint melodies of a phantom harpsichord echo through the halls, Anna is drawn into a dangerous obsession with the aristocratic family who vanished in 1790. What begins as a fairytale restoration quickly spirals into madness, forcing her to confront a spectral presence that is as seductive as it is terrifying.

Perfect for fans of atmospheric, spicy paranormal romance, this award-nominated tale weaves together bawdy legends and dark, supernatural intrigue. If you crave a story where history bleeds into the present and the line between the living and the dead blurs, prepare to be consumed by the dark allure of the Chateau de Mornay.

Must read Gothic horror

January 22, 2025

I cannot seem to make myself put this book down it is incredibly well written, with incredibly nuanced characters and surprising story lines. It is book one in what will be a trilogy. And it is absolutely mind-blowingly amazing. It's been a very long time since I read a book that I just couldn't put down and this book definitely meets that criteria. Thank you Blake for writing such a wonderful captivating novel I could not be more in love with it. )

Took over my vacation!

April 2, 2024

I brought this book with me on vacation, in Hawaii. It completely sucked me in. My vacation was spent under an umbrella with this book in my hands. I fell in love with all of the characters. You find yourself changing your mind from page to page on who you love more. It is gripping and has just the right amount of spice. I read the reviews posted here and was pretty surprised to see a 1-star review noting editing issues. this was NOT my experience. It is beautifully written. Well done!! ) 5...

She did what with a Ghost? 👀

March 5, 2024

I like how hunting was happening right away. The back story was creative and the ghost involved were fun. But I wasn’t expecting the ghost and human things to happen. Butttt it did give a creative end. If there is more I’m excited to see more. ) One person found this helpful

Awful

This novel was the biggest let down. The author desperately needs an editor. He had so many side stories thrown in that had nothing to do with whatever plot he was trying to form. He also needs an education on reproduction. In the 1700s there would not have been a way for a woman who is actively sleeping with two men to know who the father of the offspring would have been. A modern educated woman in her 40s would not believe that \"dumping herself out\" after relations to be effective birth...

This was Excellent ...The author drew you in from the first page and it continued throughout ....His description of people ,places and things where great ... Throughout the book you wanted to love and hate characters but felt a sadness for them ...there were twists and turns ...
