Daisy Dumont has spent her entire life trying to outrun the shadows of her past. After the tragic murder of her parents, she buried her memories and left behind the only companion she ever truly loved: an imaginary friend named Dorian. But when the Monster Research Facility reaches out, she realizes the ghost of her childhood was never a figment of her imagination. Dorian is real, he is a captive, and he is fading away.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully blends the sweet with the sinister. As Daisy ventures into the sterile, terrifying world of the MRF, she is forced to confront the monster in the cell. Their reunion is a heart-wrenching second-chance romance that defies convention, proving that love can bloom even in the most chilling circumstances. The chemistry between them is electric, balancing spine-tingling tension with a deep, emotional ache.
As Daisy digs into the fragmented memories of that fateful night, she discovers that the truth is far more dangerous than she dared to imagine. Will she save the monster who haunted her childhood, or will the secrets of her own mind tear them both apart? If you crave a romance that is equal parts creepy and captivating, this is your next obsession.

I picked up this book on a whim, and I'm glad I did. From the offset the slightly alarming tone hooked me. I finished this story overnight. A sweet and creepy love story being a girl and not-so-imaginary friend. Daisy's development through the book was an adventure to read and I look forward to seeing what I've missed in Skyla Gray's other works. ) One person found this helpful

this series is just so wonderfully sweet. every damn time, i find myself settling in, absolutely ready for a new, unconventional, monster romance. Skyla, you write beautifully, and Im drawn into your stories in a visceral \"please, i dont want it to end\" sort if way. Daisy and Dorian were so sweet. the suspense and mystery were really on point, and i really wasn't sure who killed Daisies parents until the moment was almost upon me. you set me up so well. i wish we'd a little more romance, but...

The first book in this series was great, and each book keeps getting better and better. I loved everything about this book and couldn't put it down. The first kiss is spine tinglingly hot. The juicy stuff is so inventive, erotic, and unlike anything I've ever read before. Daisy is strong in a way that isn't hardheaded but brave. She walks straight into situations that would have most adults wetting their pants and running away in order to protect those she cares about most. Dorian is just such...

I really, really loved different elements of this book. That being said, as the book went on, I found myself loving it less and less. I absolutely adored Dorian the entire time. He’s so sweet and sad and a fabulous imaginary friend. He just wanted someone to love him for who he is while also going out of his way to protect those he loves. I wish we could’ve had more time with him, especially with more dialogue. I felt like we really only got to see him through Daisy’s perspective, so I would’ve...

The whole book was so good! This was a one sitting type of book because I just couldnt put it down! The story was very well timed and the plot didnt feel rushed like some other books Ive recently read. The ending was super good too! Hoping to see more stories about this pair in the future )
