Modern day Frankenstein

A great read about a modern day Frankenstein kind of love. Von Cosel was a man who fell in love with a young girl. She had tuberculosis and he tried in vain to save her life. He was unable to and sadly she died. After she had been buried for a short time he secretly exhumed her body and tried to preserve her. He lived with her body seven years before someone found out. I am a Key West local and have to say I love the story of the creepy count and his undead bride. I'm always eager to learn more and was pleased to find this book on here. I love reading about mysterious and weird things but I found this book - The \"Count\" particularly more disturbing and mysterious - or weird! Some people call it a story of true love - I find it more of a story of twisted obsession. [spoiler alert] Keeping the body with him for 7 years - feeding it - trying to keep it some what 'alive' - sleeping next to it - kissing it......YUCK! I'm sorry, for me it was just kind of . . . well, sick. I first heard about the story from an interview I listened...
