The Phases of Lilith: A Dark Crescent Moon: Paranormal Romance Mid-Life Suspense

by G.E. Upshaw

About this book

At forty-five, Sonny is finally reclaiming her life after years of living in the shadow of a dark past. Desperate to rebuild her future, she heads to the atmospheric, mystery-drenched streets of New Orleans to enter a high-stakes paranormal competition. But the prize money is the least of her worries once she steps foot into the city’s infamous, spirit-ridden Yellow Fever hospital. The ghosts there are not just restless; they are waiting for her.

The challenge intensifies when she crosses paths with Jack, a disarmingly handsome Irishman whose quiet strength is as dangerous as it is magnetic. Their rivalry sparks an undeniable, slow-burn tension that threatens to shatter the walls Sonny has painstakingly built around her heart. As they navigate this enemies-to-lovers dynamic, they must survive more than just each other; they must confront a lethal legacy woven into Sonny’s very DNA.

Blending the eerie charm of a haunted-romance with the grit of mid-life suspense, this story is a perfect escape for readers who crave Southern Gothic vibes and supernatural intrigue. It is a pulse-pounding, emotional journey where the stakes are life and death, proving that the most terrifying ghosts are often the ones we carry within ourselves.

That authenticity...

I was surprised with how fast I was able to get a grasp on all the characters and find favorite in this book! The main girls interacting with each other, whether in the car or at the while investigating, feels so genuine and real. The connections between everyone just feels so real! This book also gets right to the point! It doesn't draw out scenes for no reasons and everything, even the spicy scenes, end up leading to more hints that unlock the mystery of the spirits they're trying to find....
