Svanhild Bjørnsdottir is a fallen Valkyrie drifting through life on the back of her motorcycle, content to remain an exile from Odin’s reach. Her solitary existence in Three Lakes, Michigan, is meant to be a pit stop, not a home. However, fate has a different design when she crosses paths with Balder Templar, a man burdened by the vengeful ghosts of his past. As a former hunter for a fanatical religious sect, Balder is desperate for redemption, and Svanhild may be the only one capable of offering him sanctuary.
Bound together by a mysterious shaman’s geas, these two fractured souls are forced to rely on each other as a dark history threatens to destroy them. When the spirits of those Balder wronged emerge to demand retribution, the town’s fragile peace shatters. In a community that views his kind as enemies, Balder finds an unlikely protector in the fierce, motorcycle-riding Valkyrie.
This gripping paranormal romance masterfully weaves together themes of forgiveness and belonging. Through the lens of a captivating found-family trope, the story explores how even those cast out by the gods can find a place to call home. If you crave intense, ghost-haunted stakes and a deep, heartfelt connection, step into the enchanting world of the Warbler Peninsula.

The Valkyrie's Sword is a beautifully written book about a very special town called Three Lakes and the second in the series. You can read it as a stand alone but why, I mean you're going to love them and be left wanting more I assure you. In this story we meet Svanhild Bjornsdottir, a fallen Valkyrie and exiled by Odin but she is so much more. She's been roaming for a long time till she comes to Three Lakes and until she meets Balder. Balder Templar is a lost soul looking for redemption and a...

The Valkyrie's Sword is Book 2 in Siobhan Muir's Warbler Peninsula Series. The story was complex, well written and intense. The characters included both paranormal beings and human beings who share existence in the small town harmoniously most of the time. This book embraces penance, forgiveness, acceptance and love. The cast includes a banished warrior, a brainwashed warrior, a ghost, perhaps a werewolf or two and a town of other Elder Beings. I have read all three books published in this...

Svanhild arrives in Three Lakes looking for a repair shop to fix her bike and get on her way to nowhere. Balder arrives looking for redemption, and respite. Their paths are linked to each other and they try to find a new life, and hope through misunderstandings, and misadventures. Siobhan Muir has written great characters, in a great story. Can't wait for the next book to come out. )

Great summer vacation read and guilty pleasure. Been following and reading Siobhan for a few years now, this one does not disappoint. Its well written with good character development. Had to keep coming back to it, like a pan of fudge brownies, until it was all finished. My only complaint is, that I want another one. )

Siobhan Muir did it again! Well written story about overcoming where the character has been and becoming who they are at the core. Many authors forget this element and Siobhan always delivers a great story with an array of emotions for the reader to experience. Well done! )
