Eldrith Manor

by R.R. Mangold
Three years after a tragic accident took his husband Lucas, Owen is still living in the shadows of their crumbling Victorian home. He is content to let his life, and his pumpkin patch, slowly wither away. But Lucas, tethered to the afterlife and desperate to see his husband smile again, decides to take matters into his own spectral hands. By listing a guest room online, he orchestrates a collision of hearts that Owen never saw coming.
Enter Gabriel, a city-dweller forced into a mandatory vacation, who arrives seeking nothing more than peace and quiet. Instead, he finds himself in a forced-proximity nightmare—or perhaps a dream—trapped in a historic house with a brooding, devastatingly sexy widower and the persistent, matchmaking spirit of his late husband. It is a classic grumpy-sunshine dynamic with a paranormal twist that keeps the stakes high and the emotions raw.
This cozy, heart-wrenching romance is perfect for readers who love a touch of the supernatural with their love stories. It is a beautiful exploration of grief and the courage required to start over. If you are looking for a story that feels like a warm hug in a small-town setting, this paranormal romance will leave you sobbing and smiling in equal measure.

This is a cozy romance that beautifully explores love, loss, and the process of moving forward. Both characters are trapped in different ways—one as a ghost lingering after death, and the other weighed down by grief for his late husband. Everything begins to change when the ghost lists their bed-and-breakfast online, and someone new answers. What follows is a sweet story of romance, rediscovering passions, and learning how to move on after loss. Heartfelt, tender, and healing—this is a...

I thought this book was super cute. I hadn't read a book with this premise before and I really enjoyed the spin. Giving the ghost a voice was so beautiful and heartbreaking in the best way. I sobbed and cheered. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because of the many errors I encountered throughout the entire book. Each time it would take me out of the adorable world created. I'm not an author so I don't know the world of publishing and editing, but , for me, the errors were...

I loved this book! It felt like hanging out in a gay Stars Hollow, but even more incredible than that sounds! I loved the contemporary world references including Serendipity, one of my most favorite movies, and the Joey Tribbiani sandwich thing 😂 they were perfect! )

One of R.R. Mangold's superpowers is making me cry over fictional characters. I think me a few years ago could have really used this book. Finding love again after loss teeters on hard thought process in my opinion. On one hand, you want to see someone find happiness and love again, but then there's the idea of how can I love someone else. The thing is that we are allowed to have multiple loves if that is how our path treads. Owen most certainly deserved to be able to love again. He lost his...

What a beautiful story. There is something both so uplifting and tragic about letting go of your past and moving on. This story really gets to the heart, the sorrow, the joy of that experience. )
