Eldrith Manor

by Kathleen J. Easley
Seeking a fresh start after a suffocating divorce, Kate Ecklund purchases a crumbling Victorian manor with dreams of restoration. However, she soon realizes she is not the only inhabitant of the estate. The mansion is haunted by Blossom Thatcher, a lonely recluse who has spent eighty years waiting for her vanished lover to return. Bound by compassion, Kate begins to peel back the layers of the house’s history, discovering a hidden map to a lost gold mine that ties her fate to the restless spirit.
This atmospheric paranormal romance masterfully weaves together two love stories separated by decades. As Kate investigates the past, she finds herself caught in a modern-day romantic dilemma, torn between two captivating men who challenge her guarded heart. The narrative elegantly shifts between Kate’s present-day journey and Blossom’s tragic history, creating a dual-timeline mystery that keeps the tension high and the stakes personal.
Perfect for fans of second-chance romance and haunting historical mysteries, this tale offers more than just a ghost story; it is a rich exploration of longing and discovery. With its charming small-town setting and a surprising, dramatic climax, this is an essential read for anyone craving a supernatural escape filled with heart, humor, and suspense.

Well written and thought out. The characters are are flesh and bone, not just people on a page. All the back stories sound well thought out and three-dimensional. I really enjoyed the surprise ending. )

Once again, Kathleen Easley has created a complex web of characters and a plot divided over three generations of intrigue and mystery that come together at the end in a dramatic climax. How she is able to create all these characters and to keep track of their identities and their thoughts and actions is a tribute to her uncanny creative ability. ) One person found this helpful

Written well but I felt it is more of a YA novel. Couldn't hold my interest but I don't like to give up so I did finish it. Would not purchase other books from this author for that reason. ) 4 people found this helpful
